Since making her debut in films with the Telugu film Ishtam in 2001, Shriya has come a long way. Six years and more than 25 films later, it is but natural for this talented actress to look westward.

Having made her mark in all the major ‘filmwoods’ in India, this sexy siren is all set to set Hollywood on fire. Reportedly, MGM and Hyde Park Film (owned by Ashok Amritraj) have signed Shriya as the leading lady for their film The Other End of the Line.

The film is a romantic comedy about a call-centre employee who falls in love with a guy over the phone. The story is about her journey from Mumbai, India to San Francisco, USA to meet her love, and what happens when she gets there.

The film stars Jesse Metcalfe of the hot TV series Desperate Housewives fame as Shriya’s leading man. The film is expected to roll from the last week of November.

This will put Shriya at par with Aishwarya Rai, who has made her mark in Hollywood with films like Bride and Prejudice, Provoked, Mistress of Spices, The Last crowd and is currently working in Pink Panther 2.

Shriya’s desi projects include the soon-to-be-released. The much-awaited Kanthaswamy with Vikram and Ek with Bobby Deol.
